How anxious have you felt in your business and life lately?
Anxiety is reaching plague proportions in western culture and in the entrepreneurial world. Anxiety touches every single one of us and much of our culture is riddled with this challenging and sometimes crippling emotion.
But don't worry... a way to soothe it and transform it was discovered by the sages, masters and wise one's long ago and I'm sharing it with you today!
It is a simple relief... and it may even appear too easy to be true so don't overlook it's simplicity... instead soak it up.
It is time for us all to stop running from anxiety and look it in the face!
Could the devil actually be an angel in disguise? Could anxiety actually be our friend?
I no longer see anxiety is a virus that needs a cure... it is actually a form of medicine when seen with deep, loving and wise eyes.
Anxiety gets a bad rap because it appears to be what holds us back from creating our business dreams and living the life we were born to live, but it has a very important place in the spectrum of human emotions when befriended.
After 20 years of studying with masters of peace and guiding deep transformations in my clients, the key that I have found to deal with anxiety in my life and with my clients... is firstly to make friends with anxiety.
Not medicate it, ignore it, numb it, punch it in the face, distract from it... just plain and simple, good ole' fashioned, 'make it your new best buddy'... befriend it.
When we make a new friend we spend time with them, we hang out, we talk, we share stories and we love and accept each other just as we are.
After some time hanging out and spending some intimate time together anxiety no longer comes to visit so often and just pops in from time to time to offer a valuable lesson for those willing to dive deep enough to find it.
Soooo I would like to introduce you to anxiety right now. It's time for us all to get re-acquainted.
Close your eyes and scan your body for a few seconds and see if there is any high or low level anxiety running in your system right now. Then keep reading. Go scan now!
If you can't find any anxiety in your being... yay for you... but remember that anxiety can often present itself dressed as restless, irritable, tense, distracted, bored, jittery or I'm way tooooo busy to give a damn!

Hello wise soul,
Anxiety here. Pleasure to meet you... well actually you most probably know me pretty well. But today I ask that you listen to me in a new way.
I know that I am an uncomfortable feeling to hang out with at first but if you give me some time I get much easier to be with. Please stop running from me as I have a gift for you.
Yes that's right a gift. Each time I squeeze your adrenals it is to get your attention so that I can give you this gift, but you seem to try and distract yourself from me. You drink, take drugs, eat, work like a nutter, turn to the internet, TV or facebook and constantly entertain yourself so that you don't have to feel me..... but please feel me.
I'm worth it. If you have the courage to feel me, I have all the treasures of the universe to reveal to you. I am the doorway for all of the things that you seek... love, joy, freedom and peace. I am the pathway that leads to where you really yearn to be. Your home... the essence of you. So please don't ignore me anymore. Sit with me. Be with me. Listen to me. Hear me out.
Open your heart to me as I have a story to tell.
The gift that I bring you is the present moment. If there is imminent danger please use my energy to move away from the threat but 99.9% of the time I am activated simply when you think an untrue thought of self defeat or worry. The moment that you think you are not enough, that you need to be more, get more, do more, is the moment I arrive to remind you that you are perfect just as you are.
Yes yes yes that's my job to show you that you are stuck in your head and your mind is off seeking and striving to be more than than the magic of who you already are.
So if I am present in your body right now, breathe into me, allow me to be the alarm bell that I am. Allow me to alert you to the truth of the present moment.
The truth is... no matter what thoughts are going through your head... they are not true. Thoughts are not to be believed. The truth is you are... a living miracle. You are so vast and magical and a walking talking sensation.
No matter what is going on in your life... no matter what challenges you face in your business and life...you are magnificent. A living, breathing miracle. All you need to do when you feel me is take your next breath and surrender to the blessing of the moment.
That's it. Simply breathe and enjoy whatever emotions arise within you... anxiety or any of my fellow feeling buddies who come along. Sadness, anger, grief, shame. We are all your friends and only ever come to remind you to STOP BELIEVING YOUR THOUGHTS, heal your old wounds and to be present. Stop living in your head and look through your hearts eyes.
See the beauty in even the most challenging and stressful moments and then you are free.
Free to be imperfectly perfect. Free to be humanly divine. Free to be both the order and the chaos. Free to just be.
So thank you for listening to me. I'll leave you now to take in a deep breath, look around you and enjoy this moment exactly as it is... and the next time that I come knocking on your door please don't ignore me. We are now friends. Invite me in, give me a cup of tea and I will again remind you to stop believing your thoughts and together we can enjoy the moment.
