1. Know that peace exists in the present moment
We often resist the present moment when there is noise, pain and discomfort in our
circumstances, our bodies, our minds or our emotions. We find ways to numb,
escape, suppress, ignore or dramatise what we are experiencing in the present
moment. However if we have the courage to be present, open and allowing of all
experiences we can see the underlying messages, gifts and peace that lies beneath.
Any pain is aprompt to dive deeper to the peace that lies beneath.
All experiences come and go in the vast peace of who you are.
2. Practice meditation
Meditation teaches us the art of witnessing all layers of our being from the place of
the silent witness. When we learn to relax, open and experience fully all of life's
circumstances, body sensations, emotional waves and thoughts without judgement
or expectation, we are free. The peace and silence that we witness all of life's
chaos from is the true refuge. Learn to rest in the peace of who you are
beneath life's challenges.
3. Keep life simple
We often fill up our lives with activities, noise, interactions, distractions, appointments
and goals. Society seduces us to believe that the more we 'do' and the more we
'have' the better human we are. When we discover that our true value lies at the
core of who we are, not in what we are doing, we can simplify our lives.
