It's my birthday week this week and I've taken some time out to check in with myself, my commitments and intentions that I set at the start of the year.
It is so important to check in with our sacred commitments regularly otherwise the busyness of life and old habits can railroad our dreams.
Have you committed to make something happen in your business but you can't seem to get it done?
You have great intentions to step up, show up and do what you've been deeply guided to create....
The excuses, distractions and old habits just keep you from doing what you know you need to do.
... excuses that appear soulful and well justified but are just fear in a holy cloak.
... distractions that seem easier, more important, more familiar than the new way of operating that will ensure the success you desire.
... old habits that click into operation before you've even had time to even notice.
It happens to us all from time to time but the sooner we can move past excuses, distractions and old habits the sooner our business will get moving to the level we desire.
So today I have 3 tips to ensure you honour your commitments in creating your dream.
3 Tips To Honour Your Commitments
1. Practice Prioritising YOU - One of the holiest excuses that is really just fear and doubt dressed up as selfless giving... is being distracted from our own goals by always attending to the needs of others. It seems so honourable to do do do for others, but when it is at the expense of our own goals and dreams our giving to others will always be tainted with underlying resentment.
However when we calve out time for ourself that honours the commitments we've made to ourself, our soul, our intuition, our business success and our dream life... our giving will be the overflow from our success and fulfilment. This is true service... when our dreams are fulfilled and we support others from an overflowing cup.
2. Create A Visible Weekly Commitment List - The easiest way to get into a new habit of honouring our commitments to ourself is to write them down and schedule them in. Every monday morning, get out your diary and you schedule in the work, rest and play FOR YOURSELF.
All the internal and external actions that are required for the week to ensure you meet YOUR needs and your commitments to yourself. All other commitments for others happen around you and your needs.
3. Accountability Partners - Who knows about your dream? Who have you shared your sacred commitment with? Who helps to inspire you, guide you and hold you accountable to taking action on your dream? A friend, a partner, a colleague can be a great accountability partner but the most powerful way to ensure that you consistently take abgbbction over a long period of time until a new habit forms is to work with a mentor or join a mastermind group.
I see deeply into the heart and soul of my clients and am not afraid to challenge them on their excuses and distractions in a loving, light-hearted and deeply held way.
There is nothing more valuable than having people in your life who will hold you accountable to your dreams and commitments, inspire you to take action and believe in you all the way.
Your dreams are your reason for being... find a way to honour each sacred commitment you make and success and fulfilment is yours.
